Cancún

Cancun is one of the most exciting destinations in Mexico, one that compares favourably with Acapulco and Puerto Vallarta thanks to its location in both, the Caribbean and Maya land.

Cancun is perceived as having 2 parts: the Hotel Zone and Downtown Cancun. The two are connected by the 22 kilometer Kukulcan Blvd.

At about the 8th Kilometer, the Cancun island is lined by a bridge to the Peninsula. All five-star and deluxe hotels, as well as most of the malls, nightclubs and restaurants are located in the Hotel Zone. Downtown offers still more great restaurants and shops, and hotels at more accessible rates.

Cancun also offers traces of its Mayan past. Along the hotel zone you can explore Ruins “El Rey”, available on daily basis; it is an archaeological site dating back to the 13th century.
